"Hanzelijn-Hattem" – Netherlands

The new rail bridge over the river Ijssel – the Netherlands has a striking appearance. The elegant red bridge is approximately 1km long. Its distance from the water (NAP) is 26m, so ships can pass easily underneath. The total length of 938m, arc length of 150m, headway of 9m, 763 concrete piles, 9 100t structural steel and concrete pillars from 18 to 15 000m3, are the reasons why this bridge belongs to the bridges called giants.
